The owners of this historic Richmond row home wanted to update the home to better accommodate modern living while preserving the character that drew them to it. The renovation included an expanded kitchen, a renovated bathroom, and strategic changes to the floor plan that improved the home's flow and functionality. A custom oak volume conceals the basement stair while creating a subtle transition between the kitchen and rear living room, allowing natural light to extend deeper into the home and bringing a sense of openness to the renovated spaces.
